Just one dog

Wondering how many coon hunters keep only one dog at a time? I had made up my mind (for about the 3rd time) to keep only one dog but now I'm looking for a young dog. Maybe I can keep myself from buying one.

I only keep one dog. With my work schedule, and life I can honestly only do one dog justice. I try to hunt 2-3 nights a week and only can get out for a few hours per night. I would rather have one good dog that gets all my attention in the woods and out of it.

If I had two I personally dont think I could give them the time in the woods they deserve or proper training trying to focus on two. I am definitely tempted at times to get a second but I talk myself off that ledge.
